On Your Feet Friday is Tomorrow!

Hey all! It's been pretty quiet around here at The Compton Blog. I'm hoping to get my thoughts out of my head and onto the interweb sometime soon. In the meantime, I wanted to remind you about On Your Feet Friday.

If you're in the Salem area head on down to Gallagher's Fitness Resources tomorrow, Friday, August 10 for a fun evening event. Register in the Pioneer Trust Bank parking lot between 5:30 and 6:15pm.  When the race begins, take off running through downtown Salem.  Fill in your passport with stamps from designated locations. After 45 minutes, head back to the bank parking lot to turn in your passport, receive your raffle tickets and see how you fare in the raffle.

More details are available on the Gallagher's Fitness website. Remember, the event is family friendly and free. Strollers are welcome!

Hope to see you there!

Enchanted Forest 2012

Here is this year's version of Enchanted Forest. The 2010 version happened during my blogging hiatus. And the 2011 version never happened.

If you live in Salem, I am guessing you know what Enchanted Forest is all about. If you don't live in the area . . . well . . . I can't say that Enchanted Forest alone makes Salem worth visiting or anything. But, it's a childhood milestone, for sure. There are lots of pictures in my childhood photo albums of my many visits to the park.

Marshall and Eliza look forward to their visit every year. Sometimes just with mom, sometimes with Gram, and sometimes with friends. This year we were so glad that we could have Lauren and Cooper join us for their first Enchanted Forest experience. And Mag-Mag came along for her second trip of this year. She's a trooper!

We were so glad you came with us Maggie! Thanks for braving the roller coaster twice.
